He has staff priviledges at hospitals in both Indiana and Illinois, as well as a local surgery center. Dr. Stepanczuk uses modern surgical techniques combined with 35 years of experience to deliver just what the patient needs.
Podiatry is a branch of medicine which involves the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the human foot. As such, it was built on a basis of palliative treatments that not all podiatrists offer. Dr. Stepanczuk is pleased to offer various types of non-surgical care for his patients who are unable to undergo surgery, or simply do not want to follow that course of treatment.
Other treatments offered include nail care, reduction of calluses, shoe inserts, custom orthotics, foot pads, injection therapy, shoe therapy and physical therapy.
Diabetic foot care has always been a prime focus of his care, so Dr. Stepanczuk is involved in the shoe program through Medicare to prevent foot sores and amputations.
As well, the orthotic lab is on-site providing the patient with a therapy that is quickly adjustable, often on the same day.
Another on-site service is the use of a full set of foot X-rays. This way a full understanding of your foot problem may be obtained in one office visit. Podiatric x-ray examinations can be made with very small amounts of radiation. Our modern techniques will minimize your exposure to radiation and Dr. Stepanczuk over-sees this himself.
When necessary laboratory tests and biopsies are used to gain an accurate diagnosis. The tests are performed by certified laboratories.
Fees for office visits, therapies and surgeries reflect reasonable and customary fees, and are comparable to other competent podiatrists in the same areas. Dr. Stepanczuk is on the medical panel for many insurance companies. He consults for several PPO's, HMO's and other insurance groups. If you are referred by one of these please have the forms and insurance cards ready. Dr. Stepanczuk is pleased to accept assignment for all procedures covered by Medicare, as well as submitting all necessary Medicare claim forms for you. Any portion of the fee not paid by Medicare is requested at time of service.
If at any time any questions arise regarding treatment, fees or services, these can be discussed with you promptly and frankly. Every effort will be made to avoid misunderstandings, to rectify any mistake in an agreement, and to preserve a friendship.
Dr. Stepanczuk hopes to have the opportunity to be of service to you and earning your confidence is a top priority.
